Korean Church

One of our assignments was to go to a Korean church while we were here. The point was to learn what it is like to go to a church where English is not spoken. They were very welcoming and invited us to lunch after every service. I learned to like Kimchee and rice wrapped in sea weed. Today Jessica wrapped her rice in sea weed and ate it.

We presented a cloth world map to the pastor and showed him where we will be serving. We all learned how to say "thank you" in Korean.

Daniel was sad to leave his friend that he made there.

Training - One week to go

This is the room we are in every day for training. Some of the things we are learning about are interpersonal skills, different world views, moral purity, field proofing our marriage, working with multicultural teams, spiritual warfare and language acquisition skills.

Flea Market

One of our assignments was to go to an ethnic flea market and buy something. Part of the assignment was to try and barter with someone. Laura was successful but the person I bought from would not budge from their price. It was kind of humbling for me.
